1. Data stored in this browser
TipWeigh stores the active shift draft, worker names, roles, hours, point values, pool choices, source amounts, rosters, role presets, import mappings, completed shift snapshots, correction reasons, venue name, and PDF footer in IndexedDB. Entitlement state and your cookie choice use localStorage. The workspace belongs to this browser profile rather than a signed-in account.
Calculations, CSV parsing, JSON backups, and PDF generation run in the browser. TipWeigh has no app-owned database or data worker for these records. We do not upload the local workspace for sign-in, entitlement checks, or checkout.
2. Retention, backup, and deletion
Local records remain until you delete them, clear site data, remove the browser profile, or the browser removes storage. The history cap is 250 completed records. You can export a versioned JSON backup, restore a supported backup, delete the active draft, or clear all TipWeigh workspace data from the calculator. We cannot recover a deleted local workspace.
On a shared device, other people using the same browser profile may see the workspace. Use a separate browser profile when access separation matters.
3. Authentication, checkout, and feedback
When you sign in, TipWeigh requests a session from the Cashew Crate authentication service. That service returns account and entitlement status; TipWeigh uses it only to enable paid controls. Checkout sends the plan, app slug, return URLs, and browser origin to the shared authentication and payment flow. Payment details are handled by the payment provider, not stored in the TipWeigh workspace.
If you submit feedback, the shared BugJar service receives the type, title, description, and any email you choose to provide. TipWeigh does not automatically attach worker names, amounts, hours, filenames, correction reasons, or record contents. Do not paste sensitive shift data into feedback.
4. Analytics, consent, and advertising
Google Analytics may receive coarse page and content-free interaction events such as opening the calculator, reaching a balanced result, or starting checkout. Events do not include entered names, roles, hours, amounts, business text, filenames, or correction reasons. Consent Mode starts optional storage in a denied state. With consent, analytics storage can be enabled.
Free users may see advertising only after advertising consent and only when a publisher ID is configured. TipWeigh does not request ads before consent, and its ad script and slots stay off for Pro users. Your cookie choice is stored in localStorage and a .cashewcrate.com domain cookie so it can apply across Cashew Crate tools.
5. Your choices
You can reject optional cookies in the consent banner and clear the consent value through browser settings. You can use the core calculator without signing in. You can export or delete the browser workspace from the tool page. To ask about shared account, payment, or feedback data, email support@cashewcrate.com.
